The Ball 2009 @ Carnival

Party Under The Big Top.  Step right and view the video tour of this just-opened "funhouse/pleasure dome of madness and depravity" (Metromix) that is "so far the most amusing 21st-century fun zone to open in the Big Apple" (The New York Post).

As Paris Hilton said at its recent Grand Opening Party, Carnival "brings Coney Island to the city."  An "outrageous new circus-themed restaurant/bar/club combo" (Metromix), Carnival is certainly the only place in the city where you can view live performances by contortionists, sword-swallowers, and racy burlesque performers, play over a dozen authentic boardwalk-style games (like the one where you shoot the water into a clown's mouth and try to pop a balloon), hurl softballs at a taunting cocktail waitress perched perilously over an actual "Dunk Tank," test your strength by trying to hit a bell atop a tower while swinging a large mallet, eat spiked cotton candy (like the "Blue Cotton Candy Martini"), drink alcohol-infused sno-cones, and enter a sound-proof dance club "through the mouth of an enormous crazed clown." And, for the true daredevils (or, hopefully, group of daredevils), behold the "Dunk Tank" drink: a "2-gallon mix of Absolut, Malibu, Beefeater, and juice is all served up in a "You Just Got Tanked on the Dunk Tank!" (Sheckys.com)
